Research/Context Look back in anger is written by John Osborne in 1956.It is focused on his life,being a educated and intelligent young man but being part of the working class origin.It includes explanations of how his marriage unfortunatly failed with Pamela Lane whilst midway writing Look back in anger. It was set in a cramped flat in Derby and the play was opened on the 8th of May 1956. Osborne drew loads of inspiration about his personal life , which was his first succesful goal as a playwright. The play became favourable in the theatre community,not long before it was an enormous commercial success.It transferred to places like the West End and Broadway and even getting a chance to tour through Moscow.As John Osborne was a struggling playwright,for him to turn it around into a wealthy and famous personality he managed to win the Evening Standard award for being the most promising playwright.
